Position Description

The Field Services Specialist –Appointment Sales is responsible for answering calls/ chats from external and internal customers. These calls/ chats are from customers inquiring setting appointments for our design consultants.  The main purpose of this job is to set highly qualified leads for our in home sales force. 

  1. Provide excellent customer service by:
  2. Quickly and accurately identifying and assessing individual needs and taking appropriate action steps to satisfy those needs
  3. Qualify all incoming calls to determine if in home, in showroom, or web channel is best fit for customer Respond to customers in a polite and courteous manner, especially in stressful situations
  4. Set appointments for Design Consultants
  5. If in home qualify the customer based on sales script
  6. Answer questions or cancel appointments at customers requests
  7. Communicate all pertinent information to Design Consultants regarding cancellations
  8. Establish rapport over the phone quickly, and remain positive and upbeat over prolonged periods of customer service
  9. Express thoughts and information clearly and succinctly
  10. Inspire confidence and positively influence the behavior, actions, and thoughts of others
  11. Ensure the average call monitoring score over the previous six months meets or exceeds quality standards
  12. Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  13. Learn new skills, and retain information, facts, rules, and procedures
  14. Be flexible, adjust quickly, and react positively to change
  15. Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with others and contribute as an effective team member
  16. Establish and maintain control of inbound calls using a well-organized call structure

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
  • Well defined relationship-based service skills, with demonstrated customer service orientation
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities, and multi-task within a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and be resourceful
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also engage successfully in a team
  • Ability to learn new procedures, and be comfortable with new technology
  • Well organized with attention to detail and consistent follow through
  • Ability to complete all required duties in a thorough and timely manner

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent is required
  • Some college work is preferred in a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of facilitative training experience – preferably in a self directed learning environment
  • 1-3 years of retail or in home sales support experience
  • Strongly prefer experience within window treatment industry
